Bella Garland is an American singer-songwriter who strives to make a difference in the world by inspiring, connecting and healing people through her songwriting. Having faced some health challenges while growing up, Bella found comfort in music. Music physically, emotionally, and mentally healed her pain. At just 13 years old, Bella started to write songs. It quickly became evident that she has a gift for connecting deeply with people through storytelling in her songwriting. Recently, the iconic Bluebird Cafe chose Bella’s original song “18” as the Golden Pick Contest Winner for July 2021, and she got to perform on the Bluebird stage in Nashville. Bella wrote “18” on her dorm room floor her first semester in college during the COVID-19 pandemic. It beautifully portrays the struggle and isolation young people face as the pandemic overshadows one of life’s greatest milestones of transitioning into adulthood. She has now played at The Bluebird Cafe three times, and her next performance is April 30th at their 8pm Sunday Writers Night Show.
A pivotal moment in Bella's career occurred at the 2022 Celebrity Care Fest in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where Bella was asked to write and perform 2 songs in honor of civil rights legend Xernona Clayton and the iconic Hollywood actress Jane Seymour's Open Hearts foundation. Bella got to perform both her original songs, "The Answer Is Love" and "Stand With You", in front of celebrities such as The Jacksons, Lou Gramm from Foreigner, and Jane Seymour herself.
Bella has amassed over 12,000 followers on Instagram. She does not tie herself down to one genre. Her music spans multiple genres such as pop, country and folk. You can listen to her music on Spotify and other streaming platforms. Bella is originally from Sarasota, FL, but now lives in Nashville, Tennessee where she studies Music and Songwriting at Belmont University.
